George RR Martin created a misogynistic universe in A Song of Ice and Fire, but with accusations of unnecessary additional sexual violence, subjugation of its female characters, and "sexposition" is HBO's Game of Thrones sexist or merely reflecting the medieval attitudes of its source material? How does the show and its writers treat the female characters in the Seven Kingdoms and beyond, and can we ask for better?
