On Saturday 8th August, the Creative Writing track at Nine Worlds Geekfest 2015 took on an ambitious attempt to write an entire book during a single 75 minute session entitled #NaNoSessionMo.

Here Be Dragons Film Festival Winners 2015

Here Be Dragons is dedicated to showing the newest, strangest and most exciting in new genre film-making from all around the world. New doesn't mean young, fantasy doesn't mean elves, horror doesn't mean brown notes and the future doesn't have to be Blade Runner. We also like dragons.

We love costumes at Nine Worlds, and are very much looking forward to seeing all your amazing cosplays! Please make sure you follow costume and weapons rules to keep things fun and safe for everyone.

Food and Drink at Nine Worlds 2015

We strongly suggest that you think in advance about how you're going to eat while you're at the convention. As discussed in the 2014 feedback report, if you haven't thought about this it can have a significant impact on the quality (and cost) of your convention experience.

2015 Convention booklet now available!

The 2015 convention booklet has gone to print. All attendees will get a copy when you register on site, at the same time you collect your badges and goodie bags. However, a bunch of the information is really useful to know about before coming.

Nine Worlds 2015 Schedule Online Now

The full Nine Worlds 2015 schedule is now available in online form, allowing you to explore sessions and guests, build your own schedule, and take it to the convention with you on your mobile phone, tablet, or computer.

Tube Strike 5th-6th August

A London Underground workers strike has been announced for 5th-6th August. If the strike goes ahead, the Piccadilly line and other London Underground lines will likely be shut all day on Thursday.

Meet the Maker: Jensen's Gin

Jensen's will lead a session on what it takes to set up a distillery in London, London's gin making history and the old fashioned styles of gin that inspired Bermondsey Distillery.

Thor and Heimdall have used the Tesseract's power to rebuild the Bifrost Queer Cabaret.

Nine Worlds Supports Diversity in Fandom with Con or Bust

Con or Bust (http://con-or-bust.org/about/) is a fantastic non-profit organisation that helps people of colour/non-white people attend Science Fiction and Fantasy, conventions around the world.

Nine Worlds is a safe place to express your love for anything. But sometimes we still find it hard to admit to our love for that pulp sci-fi novel, steamy bodice ripper or angst ridden vampire romp. You hide them at the back of the shelves and tell people that you 'enjoyed them as teenagers'.
