Swordplay Masterclass! Learn water dancing with the Game of Thrones dancing master Syrio Forel, the former First Sword of Braavos, who teaches Arya to fight in King's Landing (played in the series by actor Miltos Yerolemou). Miltos will train a small class of 20 warriors the basics of sword fighting. Everyone who attends will get to take home their wooden practice sword, which will be signed by Miltos. Kids welcome!
The masterclass will be on the Sunday at the convention, 10am - 11.15am. Prebooking is essential! This will sell out, so get your tickets quickly - tickets (priced at £20) will go on sale to attendees at 9am, Wednesday 10th July.
Under-16s must have be accompanied by an adult (though the adult doesn't need to buy a ticket if they'd prefer not to.) Photos welcome!
UPDATE: sold out! We're currently working on running another workshop by Miltos, and will mail out about tickets in advance when we do so. There will also be a large room demonstration session for those who aren't taking part in the workshops. See you there!
UPDATE 24/7: A second workshop, taking place at 11:45am on Sunday at the convention, will open for bookings at 7pm on 24th July. We expect it to sell out within a few minutes, so you'll need to be quick. Note that we reserve the right to cancel bookings and refund monies if you buy a gazillion tickets, or if you've already bought tickets for the first sword workshop, or if our website goes belly-up and sells more tickets than places, or for any other reason. We'll let you know about that pretty quickly if it happens though.
UPDATE 3/8: Third and fourth workshops will be made available for bookings on Sunday and Monday, 7pm both days. The workshops are on Friday evening. We'll update with the exact workshop times on Sunday afternoon.
