geek lexicography, linguistics
Catherine Sangster is head of pronunciations for Oxford University Press. She spent nine years in the BBC Pronunciation Unit, and did a doctorate in sociolinguistics before that. Her current project is focused on Geek lexicography, specifically how geek words get into the dictionary how they get approved, moderated, codified, authorized. She's eager to ask attendees to make
contributions and suggestions; so please come and find her in the Creative Writing track room.
