We're calling on artists, graphic designers, comics creators and general art geeks to take part in designing some limited edition Nine Worlds 2013 t-shirts!
Send in your image by 6PM, JULY 16TH, and we'll publish a shortlist of the designs on our Facebook page on July 17th, where people can vote (with 'likes') for their favourites. Voting will close on July 19th, and the t-shirts will be available to buy on July 22nd!
This is a great opportunity for independent artists to promote their work to a large community of geeky art lovers. We've a huge social media presence and an estimation of over 1000 attendees at the event.
Shirts will be sold via our online store at £16 each, and the artist will earn £2.60 from each t-shirt sold. They'll be available via the online store from late July 2013 until March 2014, and by pre-order at Nine Worlds 2013. As well as your earning a portion of the cost of each shirt, we'll be promoting you and your work via our shop, website and social media.
Our shirts come in black, navy, blue, grey, white and green, and your design can be available on two of those colours (let us know what you're prefer when you send them in.)
To enter the competition, send your image to design@nineworlds.co.uk by July 16th. We only ask that your image tie in to our event and/or theming in some way, and that it includes the words 'Nine Worlds Geekfest 2013' somewhere. Also, please don't use any copyrighted materials, characters, or images in the design. Otherwise, let your imagination run wild!
Some inspiration: we're a multi-genre, super-geeky, friendly and talky convention with loads of stuff going on and a soul born out of Norse mythology. Think board games, Loki, space, knitting, vampires, frost giants, cosplay, comics, the world tree Yggdrasil, costuming, the Whedonverse, role-playing games, fan fiction, steampunk, feminism, creative writing, Tolkien, academic geekery, books, Harry Potter, everything queer, Valhalla, Game of Thrones, future technology, Discworld, heroes' songs, special effects, acting workshops, face painting, independent film, Guitar Hero contests, playing games, slam poetry, sword-fighting, solving mysteries, making stuff and lots more.

- send to design@nineworlds.co.uk by 6pm UK time on July 16th, with the subject line 'Design Competition'
- no copyrighted materials
- PNG file format
- RGB Colour Mode
- 200dpi minimum
- Sized to print
- One single layer, a white border around the image merged with a transparent background
- you can enter as many designs as you like!
