Natasha Borton

Creative Eccentric

Natasha Borton is an English Language Welsh writer from North Wales. She is studying an MA in Creative Writing at Edge Hill University and working on a collection of poems about Capel Celyn in North Wales. She was runner up for the Erbacce prize, and her first chapbook will be out in 2015. She performs regularly around the North West and North Wales, and at festivals with the touring collective Voicebox. Recently Natasha has been involved with the Roundhouse London and their international poetry collective Talking Doorsteps, with wonderful poets from the UK, Lebanon and South Africa.

Natasha is also a musician, singer, violinist, pianist and bassoonist. She incorporates this into her work focusing on her background in Singing and vocal coaching. Her talk Between Language will incorporate everything she has learnt so far about being a writer between languages and how this can represent the self.
