Rochita Loenen-Ruiz

Rochita’s short fiction has appeared in a variety of online and print publications, including Fantasy Magazine, Apex Magazine, Interzone, Realms of Fantasy, The Apex Book of World SF 2, Robots: The Recent A.I., Weird Fiction Review and Weird Tales Magazine. In the Philippines, her short fiction has been published in Philippine Panorama, Philippine Speculative Fiction, and on Philippine Genre Stories. She also writes a regular column for Strange Horizons.

Rochita attended the Clarion West Writer’s Workshop in Seattle in 2009. She was the recipient of the Octavia Butler Scholarship in 2009 and was the first Filipina writer to attend Clarion West.
